MENTAL WELLBEING | World Bipolar Day | 30th March
Bipolar disorder can make someone’s mood change dramatically from extreme highs (mania) to extreme lows (depression). These changes can be overwhelming and distressing, but a person may feel well between these periods. World Bipolar Day is organised by the International Bipolar Foundation to bring global awareness to bipolar conditions and to eliminate social stigma. |
FINANCIAL WELLBEING | Financial Wellbeing Month | April
We've created #FinancialWellbeingMonth to promote the importance of and links between financial wellbeing, mental health and suicide prevention. In partnership between FinWELL Training Ltd, Mental Health First Aid England & the R;pple Suicide Prevention Charity, this is a chance for employers and individuals to access free events, tools and resources. |
MENTAL WELLBEING | Stress Awareness Month | April
Stress Awareness Month has been held every April, since 1992 to increase public awareness about both the causes and cures for our modern stress epidemic. Many aspects of life can cause stress and you can access tips and coping strategies to help you manage your mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. |
MENTAL WELLBEING | Mental Health Awareness Week | 13th - 19th May
2024 will take place from 13 to 19 May, on the theme of "Movement: Moving more for our mental health".Being active is important for our mental health. But so many of us struggle to get enough exercise. We know there are many different reasons for this, so this Mental Health Awareness Week we want to help people to find moments for movement in their daily routines. Going for a walk in your neighbourhood, putting on your favourite music and dancing around the living room, chair exercises when you’re watching television – it all counts! |
GENERAL WELLBEING | Mens Health Awareness Week | 10th - 16th June
FinWELL are keen to support your teams linking physical, mental and financial wellbeing. The Men's Health Forum are taking their lead from King Charles who, earlier this year, shared that he had a problem with an enlarged prostate. On the day after his announcement, there were 16,410 visits to the relevant National Health Service website page compared with 1,414 visits the previous day. Prostate Cancer UK saw an almost doubling in the number of users of its online risk checker. |
GENERAL WELLBEING | National Healthy Eating Week | 10th - 14th June
FinWELL are keen to support your teams by linking physical, mental and financial wellbeing so why not book our Healthy Eating on a Budget Workshop? The British Nutrition Foundation are encouraging everyone, including early years settings, schools, workplaces and community groups, to ‘Give it a go’ this Healthy Eating Week. |
MENTAL WELLBEING | World Mental Health Day | 10th October
The World Health Organisation recognises World Mental Health Day on the 10th October every year. Created by the World Federation for Mental Health who want to 'Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority'. |
FINANCIAL WELLBEING | Pension Tracing Day | 29th October
When people move home, only around 1 in 25 remember to tell their pension providers their new address, contributing to the previously reported £19.4 billion of unclaimed pensions pots – averaging at £13,000 each. |
