Let us start by saying that Financial & Mental Wellbeing is for life and not just for Christmas!!
However, there are specific days and weeks in the year that can help raise awareness and makes it a bit easier for employers to plan specific strategies and initiatives.
Research has shown the intrinsic links between financial and mental wellbeing (and other areas of wellbeing) and we're therefore passionate about improving both of these areas.
Scroll down for some of the key dates in the financial and mental wellbeing calendar so feel free to click on the links to find out more or email us to request our infographics that can be shared by email and also printed off utilising QR codes for harder to reach employees.
Our team would be delighted to help you design your financial and mental wellbeing initiatives around them including interactive group workshops and 1-1 guidance, coaching and training sessions.

The FinWELL Guide To Mental Health & Money
(with the Wellbeing Geek)
With World Mental Health Day fast approaching (10th October) and Financial Wellbeing being so relevant and intrinsically linked to our Mental Wellbeing, we've created a unique infographic to help raise awareness for your teams.
We invite you to email us and request your free copy in an effort to raise awareness and help as many people as possible. They can then be emailed out to employees with clickable links or printed off so that harder to reach workers can then scan the QR codes and access more information.
We would love to see how far and wide we can share this message with your help!!
(A massive shout out to FinWELL Team Member Jamie Forsyth for his creativity and we encourage you to connect with him on LinkedIn or take a look at the great work he's doing around Mental Health and Wellbeing via TheWellbeingGeek.com)

MENTAL WELLBEING | World Bipolar Day | 30th March
Bipolar disorder can make someone’s mood change dramatically from extreme highs (mania) to extreme lows (depression). These changes can be overwhelming and distressing, but a person may feel well between these periods. World Bipolar Day is organised by the International Bipolar Foundation to bring global awareness to bipolar conditions and to eliminate social stigma. |
MENTAL WELLBEING | Stress Awareness Month | April
Stress Awareness Month has been held every April, since 1992 to increase public awareness about both the causes and cures for our modern stress epidemic. Many aspects of life can cause stress and you can access tips and coping strategies to help you manage your mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. |
MENTAL WELLBEING | Mental Health Awareness Week | 9th-15th May
Mental Health Awareness Week takes between 9-15 May and the current theme is ‘loneliness’. Our workplaces are also changing. With many adapting to home and hybrid working, we need to embrace this change while building and maintaining meaningful connections with our colleagues. |
MENTAL WELLBEING | National Schizophrenia Day | 25th July
Schizophrenia is a common mental illness that affects 1 in 100 people in their lifetime, yet the condition is widely misunderstood. Hosted by one of Rethink Mental Illness, National Schizophrenia Awareness Day shines a light on the challenges faced by people living with a diagnosis of schizophrenia in the UK and beyond. |
FINANCIAL WELLBEING | Pension Awareness Week | 12th - 16th September

MENTAL WELLBEING | World Mental Health Day | 10th October
The World Health Organisation recognises World Mental Health Day on the 10th October every year. The theme of 2022's World Mental Health Day, set by the World Federation for Mental Health, is 'Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority'. |
MENTAL WELLBEING | OCD Awareness Day | 10th-16th October
Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder affecting 1 in 100 people in the UK. People living with OCD will experience obsessions and/or compulsions – an obsession is a repeated unwelcome thought or image which can be hard to ignore, while a compulsion is something you think about or do repeatedly to help relieve anxiety. The week is a chance to bring about greater understanding of the condition and how it affects people. |
FINANCIAL WELLBEING | Pension Tracing Day | 30th October
When people move home, only around 1 in 25 remember to tell their pension providers their new address, contributing to the previously reported £19.4 billion of unclaimed pensions pots – averaging at £13,000 each. |
